Building Cleaning Castrop-Rauxel

Castrop-Rauxel has around 72.000 residents, is part of the Recklinghausen district and comprises 15 subdistricts that have grown together from formerly independent municipalities. For building cleaning, this means there is not one centre but several. In Castrop’s old town, around Lambertusplatz, Münsterstraße and Marktplatz, Art Nouveau buildings house retail and hospitality on the ground floor with residences or practices above – here the focus is on shop windows, mullioned windows and stairwells in older building stock. In Habinghorst, Lange Straße forms a second centre with retail units and multi-family residential buildings; in Rauxel, around the main station, residential, commercial and administrative uses are mixed. Ickern, Henrichenburg and Pöppinghausen in the north along the Emscher and the Rhine-Herne Canal, as well as Frohlinde, Merklinde and Bövinghausen in the south on the Dortmund city boundary, are more residential in character: multi-family residential buildings, terraced houses and smaller commercial units.

Commercially, the city has reinvented itself since the end of coal mining. On the site of the former Erin colliery, the Erin-Park has been developed right next to the old town: a technology and business park housing service providers, offices and public institutions as well as craft and technology companies. In addition there is the Ickern business park, commercial areas along Klöcknerstraße and Lange Straße, and the chemical industry as a major employer. Typical of these sites is the combination of administration and production under one roof: offices and meeting rooms at the front, production hall, storage and staff welfare facilities at the back. We clean both areas – industrial cleaning in the production hall, regular cleaning in the offices – and schedule our visits so that operations continue uninterrupted: in the evening after shift end or early in the morning before work begins.
