Frequently asked questions about glass cleaning
What is the difference between glass cleaning and window cleaning?
Glass cleaning covers all glass surfaces — not just windows. This includes glass façades, skylights, glass roofs, partitions and balustrades. Window cleaning is a subset of this.
Up to what height do you work?
Using telescopic poles, we can clean from ground level up to 21 metres. For greater heights, we deploy cherry pickers, façade access systems or industrial climbers.
Which cleaning products do you use?
We prefer to use reverse osmosis water — it cleans streak-free without chemicals. For stubborn soiling (cement, silicone, adhesive residue), we use environmentally friendly specialist cleaners.

Are frames and beading included in window cleaning?
Yes, both are included in our standard scope and appear as a separate line item in the quote. When comparing quotes, make sure the words frames and beading are explicitly mentioned — where only „window cleaning“ is stated, it often refers to the glass pane only.
What does window cleaning cost for a private household?
Our starting price is €85 incl. VAT. The cost of your job depends on the number of elements, the window type, external accessibility and the condition of the beading. We provide a firm price after the free on-site visit.
How often should windows be cleaned?
In private households, two to three times a year; the reveals usually once. On main roads, near industrial areas or with heavy tree cover, more frequently. For businesses with customer traffic, monthly or quarterly intervals are the norm.
What does „streak-free“ mean?
With the right technique, clean squeegee blades and – on the outside – lime-free osmosis water, no streaks or water droplets are left behind. This is craftsmanship, not luck.
Do you also come for just a few individual windows?
From a certain minimum job size, yes. For very small jobs, we consolidate appointments in your city – just get in touch.

Window cleaning: the whole window, not just the glass
For a detached house, flat, practice or shop, we don’t charge by the square metre but per window unit — and that includes more than just the glass. The difference from large-area window cleaning in brief:

What’s included in the standard scope
Four items are included: glass, inside and out (washing, squeegeeing, drying the edges), frames and window sill (fixed and sash frames, handles, visible fittings), the rebate — the recess running around the perimeter between the sash and the fixed frame, first vacuumed dry, then wiped with a damp cloth, corners done with a brush — and insect screens. Roller blind boxes and divided-light windows are available on request, as they significantly increase the time required per unit.
The rebate is the item where quotes diverge most. On a window that has only had the glass cleaned for years, it takes longer than the glass itself, because sand, pollen and insects form a solid layer in the corners. That’s why we list it as a separate line item in our quote — and we check that the drainage openings in the lower fixed frame are clear.
For context, not fixed prices: frames and window sills typically add 25 to 35 per cent, and divided-light windows cost 40 to 60 per cent more than plain glass. A firm price is only confirmed after the free on-site visit. All prices include VAT.
